The Maximus meets the 1077?
Based on looks alone, it seems that Crosman has finally taken the hint from numerous enthusiasts over the years and decided to convert their classic 1077 line to a fully functional 2000PSI fill, ‘Semi Automatic’ PCP system. We use “Semi Automatic” in quotes as, should it truly be based on the 1077 platform, the system is more of a dual action system than the gas blowback style semi-automatics we’ve become accustomed to as a result of many of the high end replica CO2 pistols out there on the market today.
With a list price of $149.00USD, if this does prove to be based on the 1077 platform, tuners and modders are going to have a great time maximizing the potential out of this rifle. For the new shooter, this may also be the gateway gun they are looking for when it comes to getting into the world of PCP Airguns. Having a repeater, let alone a dual action “Semi Auto” should be very well received among the more traditional firearm crowd.
- List Price $149.00USD
- Up to 800 fps
- 12 Shots as fast as you can pull the trigger
- PCP Powered – 2000 psi

- Rifled steel barrel
- Fully adjustable rear sight
- Fiber optic front sight
- Dovetail groove
- Foster style fill adapter with cover2017

I would not be surprised if we see Crosman either lower the price on their Benjamin PCP pump, or release a new pump on the market in an effort to continue to lower the entry point from an affordability standpoint when it comes to PCP Air Rifles.
It looks like 2017 may be the year PCP truly goes mainstream.
