Pumps and Compressors

If you own, or plan on owning a Pre-charged Pneumatic (PCP) airgun, you'll need some way to fill/charge it. The days of having to use a specialized hand pump, or invest in a SCUBA or SCBA tank are no more. Over the past few years, affordable compressors have removed a huge hurdle for those looking for new options to refill/recharge their PCP airguns. With either option, using a good moisture filter a critical to protecting your investment.

Hand Pumps

Hand pumps are a more affordable option for filling PCP air cylinders. While they look similar to bike pumps, these hand pumps are capable of producing up to 4500psi of compressed air. They are also more portable than many older compressors. However, they are also slower and more difficult to use. With that said, they are a great option for those purchasing their first PCP airgun. Prices on the most entry-level of these hand-pump have dropped to under $50USD.

This budget-friendly hand pump is a solid wallet-friendly option. It comes with spare o-rings, though the manual leaves a bit to be desired.

PCP Compressor

PCP compressors are used to fill the air cylinders of PCP airguns. They come in a variety of sizes and power ratings. Small, portable compressors can be used to fill air cylinders at home. Larger, more powerful compressors are typically used by businesses or organizations that have a lot of PCP airguns. Newer, portable compressors can be run off of a car battery, with newer models capable of running off of power tool batteries. Typically, larger, more powerful compressors can fill your air cylinder faster than the smaller, portable models.

The CS1-I can be run off of either 12v DC or 110v AC power. Set the pressure you want this compressor to fill to, and it will auto-stop when done. Designed for charging airguns directly, not for charging SCUBA tanks.
